Simpson’s trial began this morning, and I couldn’t resist driving downtown to check out the media circus that pitched its tents and raised its masts next to the Regional Justice Center over the weekend.  Thinking back to the encampment that settled in next to the Los Angeles courthouse back in 1995, I wondered how close I’d be able to get to the corner of Lewis and Third.
